I'm afraid we can't be bothered with the hassle you get from advertising cheap cars on AT or Gumtree. Car will go to scrap on Feb 12th when mot expires. Will be a sad day but options are out.

No!!! I implore you: let anyone off here take your car and restore it!!! There are so few of our cars about, we can’t let them go to scrapyards!!! Please think again 😞

Anyone is welcome to come get her for nominal fee. I have no storage and mot runs out Feb so will have no choice.

I probably have a buyer for you. Gordon Spence who runs Ashton Motors in Dundee, a BMW specialist of many years. Tbh you're probably going to get 2-300 quid as scrap value to be cannibalised for parts but it's better than throwing it away.

I doubt Gordon would want this to be honest. Could pop past and see him but I really don't see what he could need, engine and box are sound right enough. Thanks for the suggestion, I've actually dealt with him a few times over the years.

It's a good source of spares - engine, steering rack, diff, rear axle etc. Yours is too far gone to be worth restoring but it's well worth a couple of hundred quid to dismantle. If only I were closer!

I live near Dundee, work in Glasgow, am NHS, so I can deliver this to most of Central Scotland legitimately, (sort of, :) ). Insured to drive anything.
I'm vaccinated and will happily drive with the roof down for you, 'cos I'm stupid like that, it's how I drive my own.

I was having it myself, but I'm about to lose my storage space.

Look at the MOT history, damn all wrong with it a little welding won't sort, or buy a rear wing for £60 if your welding/fabrication skills aren't up to it.

Andyboy, thanks so much for your intervention, I delivered the z3 to Gordon on Friday, he is a lovely fella, and at least bits of our car will live on now. Thanks to everyone for all the advice and help, we owned the car for seven years I think and my partner was in tears when she saw it was gone..she gets her knee replacement end of month so depending on the mobility she gains back, who knows, might be after another z3 in 6 months or so!!

Thanks again everyone, gbn
