Can any one advise please? I have a rapid clicking sound from the front passenger side headlight when the light are on. From what I can see I need to start by removing the air filter housing and go on from there to check if it is the adjuster motor. Is this a job for an amateur or do I need to go to the garage?

Car is 1999 2.8 Z3

Mine did the same but I found by cycling it from High to Low about half a dozen times it cured it. There seems to be a resistor track to give position feedback to the controller and I can only assume contamination builds up on the track. You could also move it just slightly from the current position to see if that helps.

Thanks for this. My lights make the same rapid clicking noise too, so I’ll give it a go
