You have got to be kidding me ....

Lucky escape all round. I'm surprised the trucker that jack-knifed didn't chase him down the road, probably having a moment of quite contemplation to himself

My goodness :p
Take their license away ......
What a stupid thing todo :(

Thing that got me was, the driver seemed to wait for the second truck to hit them? ....

Seen it done Mike, but with less traffic at the time. Motorway driving is still to much concentration for me and only go on it as needs must.
Artic should have stayed in the outside lane and kept braking to a min, just like the coach driver. The poor rigid driver was obviously caught out. Hope they've caught the car driver, lack of motorway rules and regs knowledge probably.
RHA,Roy.

Don't know if it is still like this but when I had driving lessons many moons ago you were not allowed on the motorway until you had passed your test.

Still so Mike, but their looking at learner driver instruction on motorway. They've already brought in sat nav on the test. How can a learner driver take instructions from a sat nav when they already have trouble following instructions from examiner, food for all other drivers discomfort. Leave the leaners to get experience first then allow them on, or make it part of first year development after test with instructor. The mind boggles.

I think he may have got a ruptured fuel tank and with the trailer jammed against the prime mover he's well stuck.
Hopefully someone has dash cam footage which allow this idiot to be caught and made an example of. Totally indicative of how poor driving standards and road awareness levels are these days. Probably gabbing on a phone and missed their turn off point!!

Banning isn’t enough. They should be invoiced for the clear up too.

Good skills from the truck drivers. No.1 Sacrificed him self. (Note the coach driver, not slowing) No 2. Immediatley knew a jacknife was the only option.
Again thats a sacrifice. Blown fuel tanks, air lines ripped off, 5th wheel koofed forever.

Truck drivers i salute you
