Lovely morning this morning but a bit nippy when I got up at 6am to take Fred out for his walk. Got back and put my new wheels on the Zed and had a quick look round her before I set off for the MOT centre the other side of St Austell. The car was lovely and hot by the time I got there.

Top down all the way, too

So, come back with a new MOT and all good for another 12 months, with just one advisory, corrosion on rear subframe, suspension arm. The inspector called me out of the office to have a look while it was up on the ramps. It looks worse than it is though, as the underseal has started to peal and water has got underneath it.

I just need to strip it back to bare metal, treat it and repaint it. A few thick coats of Hammerite will sort it.

I'll get that done over the next few weeks as I prepare the car for the Euro run in the summer.

I'm going to take advantage of this great weather and am planning a run out this afternoon.

Have a great day folks

Excellent news Gary.
Enjoy your day out

I've got my hard top off today wanting to get out there but I've got my 5y god son's birthday party to go to so not all bad there will be loads of jelly and ice cream to eat.
Hopefully I'll be able to make the most of tomorrow.

That's because most of our cars are cherished and pampered Dave. I shudder to think of the amount of man hours that are spent on them

I would agree but it's all so worth it on a sunny day with the top down

Good to near it passed the test after the problems you had to sort out mate. All the better for the sunshine too.

Tony.

Congratulations a lovely new MOT for your Z :p
Have fun this sunny afternoon ;)

It never ceases to amaze me what a wonderful feeling it is after passing inspection. You just feel like going out and celebrating somehow. Maybe go out for a drive with the wife and then out for dinner.................Frankie

We had a drive down to "The Lizard" which is the most southern point of mainland UK, for a cuppa and a bite to eat. It's only 40 miles or so from our house. It was jammed packed down there today, seems loads of other people had the same idea as we did. Had a lovely drive back skirting round the moors around Redruth and Helston.
The car's running like a watch and it's her first proper run since we spent time with Hugh and Sarah @miller1098 last November.

I've really enjoyed the day, so much so, we might do it again tomorrow.

I'll give her a bit of a clean though first

Good stuff - another year in the Zed!:)
