Hi, Sorry for the old topic but I had to share my joy!!!!!
Old story flat battery, charge it up starts OK,
Week later flat battery charge it up starts OK,
Couple of days later flat battery bought ctek charger leave it for 24 hours battery flat!
Now for the good bit ,took it back to shop 16 months old bosche battery, the man from
the shop was amazed when he tested battery and confirmed it was knackered!!
Under guarantee no quibble NEW BATTERY of the shelf straight away(there is a god)
And now my new problem,
Do I put the new battery on charge????
My charger is a ctekmxs 3.6
many thanks

If you drive your Zed daily then obviously no need but if it is in the garage between outings then YES put it on charge. The Ctek chargers are designed to be left permanently connected to a battery to keep it in tiptop condition and will prolong the life of your battery substantially.

Thanks for the advice,I was unsure with it being a new one,I didnt want to kill it.I shall put it on charge
and hope for a long life
Thanks again

Ctek are the best

Out of habit, I just put mine on charge as soon i put it away
You are not the first person i have heard of who bought a duff battery recently

Do you have the cigarette lighter adaptor

No I havent, it is hooked up under the bonnet as I type!!!.If I am going to use it as you say the cigarette lighter plug sounds a good idea.
How long does the charging take before it goes into trickle mode??

Never really looked at the charger working
But it conditions, does diagnostic check, charges then trickle
i believe in that order :-s
i did read somewhere that it drains the battery to check something
'not sure about that though'
When you get the cig adaptor make sure you push it home
the charger will have a hissy fit otherwise

Once again a great charger
:D :D

Thanks for all info, cigarette lighter plug ordered waiting delivery.
charger now showing fully charged and in maintenance mode :-bd

Cheers Brian
