Yellow Z3 on Autotrader

I went today with a friend to view a Dakar yellow Z for sale privately in Stockport as advertised on Autotrader. It looked mint in the photos but in reality has a few issues. The sports seats have been ruined by a previous owner sticking something yellow to them and now that whatever it was has been removed there is an awful lot of hardened residue left behind. The offside outer sill is showing the usual rust on the end and is also bubbling through. The rear window is almost opaque and the roof is badly stained. The boot lid has been drilled to fit the boot rack and the heater blower only works in position 4. The top of the dash has been drilled to fit a satnav. The seller mentioned that he has a buyer coming down by train from Scotland to view. If this is anyone off here I would advise asking for some hi- res photos before making the trip. I am not saying it is a bad car but it will need a lot of effort to get right and is overpriced at the asking.

Shame about the issues.

Hate it when a car isn’t as good as it looks, or even worse if the seller misleads you for a wasted journey.

I don't think the seller is being dishonest but he knows nothing about cars and bought this one on a whim at the start of the summer. It is parked under some trees and has not even had a decent wash and tidy up. A pity as it's a Dakar and drove nicely but too many issues for my friend.
