Yay!Tour de France on the bike

That's a beautiful collection of bikes @Alan Slade .worth every penny;) .my favourite at the moment View attachment 61114
But I get distracted by these all the time .This one was unique as the drive sprocket was mounted on the swing arm pivot so chain tension was constant took a bit of getting used to as it didn't squat under acceleration.a BMW design View attachment 61115View attachment 61116
I like the full suspension bike, the spoking of the wheels is 'different' and very open. I also like the personalised paint job on the motor bike, excellent! I think your prediction for the green jersey of Michael Mathews may all come down to the final stage, but you are probably right.

I like different lol except when it comes to the Z ours are pretty standard and just get the job done :). Bikes on the other hand . This Husaberg had so much innovation it was a shame they stopped developing it .the plastic graphics are easy to personalise :)

Some very nice road bikes there Alan and yes I did sell my Colnago Master Olympic along with all my other good bikes. My last top end bike was a Colnago C 40 which I sold in 2014 because I felt embarrassed riding it so slowly! Now I just have an old Pinarello Sestriere winter bike that I had resprayed at Mercian,Derby in 2013 and a Pinarello Angliru summer bike. They are more than good enough for me now.
In July 1999 I was doing the L'Etape du Tour, 207 km,on my Colnago Tecnos, then watching the professionals tackle the same Stage the next day.

Well the last of this years mountain stages 3 days left and there's not a lot more to sort out unless we get some really big surprises. But what a tour it's been crashes, broken bones, disqualification tactics superhuman efforts and all taking place in some amazing scenery and roads. I can't believe we have to wait another year to do it all again.ive seen some brilliant places to mark on my map not least the mountain finish on today's stage col de lzoard that bought to a close two spectacular days of mountain racing yesterday telegraph and Galibier and one of the highest peaks today.if you've watched and aren't hooked this year I pity you lol .if your tempted ,watch yesterday's stage on catch up and get a taste for the mountain

Yeah, thank you, its all your fault.....
You know it makes it all the more amazing when you get a chance to drive the roads that they race on.One of these days I'm going to take a Z cruise on some of my favourites get your buddy to bring his van and we'll make it one to remember

get your buddy to bring his van and we'll make it one to remember

When you lot had gone to bed over here, I had to walk up a hill to get some more beer out of the van.
Honestly, I was not drunk, just not used to hills anymore, as I live in a part of the Netherlands that is flat as a pancake and six mtrs under sea level.

Took me two attempts and then I forgot to lock the van, my mate was not very happy about that the next morning.....:bag:
