wrong springs

Was exploring on my 1997 roadster yesterday and came across something that concerned me. noticed the springs are H&R (Red) 29593 VA/F/. In looking these up they list (E36) ! When I look up the ones that should be on my car ,it list a 29520 HA/R/. Love the stance of the front of my Z but is this going to hurt anything! Cant see any numbers on the rear. going to have to pull the wheels

If it sits right and goes round corners OK then there's probably no need to worry. The Z3 is also known as an e36/7 if I remember properly, so the markings may be nothing to worry about.

I think the rear should be lower than it is. the springs are also l&m on the rear but I cant see the numbers. does anyone know what the L&M number for a 30mm lower should be on my 2.8

There's normally a rubber pad under the rear springs, they come in three thicknessses if I remember rightly, 5mm, 10mm, and 15mm, and due to the way the suspension is laid out changing the pad for one 5mm thicker lifts the car by 10mm (approximately) it's the way the swing arm pivots at the front and the spring is about half-way along it that does it, if you see what I mean. If the car rides OK then it'll be a fair bit cheaper to change the pad for one a bit thinner if you want it lower. Some people have been known to take them out completely, but I don't like the idea of metal to metal contact if it can be avoided. Fussy old tw@, me.
