Just listening to Gold on mw on me old Hacker valve radio as old gits do and an Elvis Presley song came on, got me thinking how long since he's been gone, googled it to find it will be 40 years ago next year . . . . 40 bleedin years!!! Remember it like yesterday. Youngers today will say "who?"

Time, gone in the blink of an eye mate. The key thing being that we've all got this far in time to be able to look back on events from decades ago and think as you say, bleeding years ago.
 
Yes I've heard of the 'who', only because clarkson talks about them in Top gear though :)

Nice to see you keeping it up with the tin hat pal.;)=))=)) And just to get back on topic I can remember hearing it on the news on Radio 1, yes I did used to listen to Radio 1.

time, there never seems to be enough of it, goes by so quickly! pity they cannot give us a full rebuild, bmw made a great job of restoring the car once owned by elvis

Why restore it? that just removes all trace of him including the chewing gum stuck under the steering column :D - out of interest what was it?

My mum told me when I got home, then watched it on tv news.
 
Radio Buxomgirl was on 208 MW if I remember right, in 1977 I was 21.;)

i started my apprenticeship in 1977. mrs elvis, seems not to be aging, plenty of restoring been done on her face i think. the 507 does look stunning, the elvis car originally was white, story goes that he had it painted red, because women kept writing there phone numbers on the car with lipstick
