Holiday started all bits collected now the fun begins, not every one's idea of a holiday but I've been looking forward to doing this job and sorting out the rear end with upgrades.

Yes but now I've started I have realised I need 2 new rear drop links plus new wheel bearings as I have to pull the hubs off to fit new back plates, and the bearings seem a little rough noise wise.

Yes I replaced front and rear discs and pads September last year not long after I got it. I also did front shocks also put new hubs on replaced lower wishbone I will be pulling it apart again to do all the bushes on front end with powerflex bushes. But thanks for mentioning it as you can see now it's out on the ground and boy it's a real struggle on your own.

Update on the restoration of suspension brakes and bushes on rear beam I've been working on this job all weekend. And have now had to purchase new drop links as I'd forgotten these when ordering the other parts. My major problem has been the state of every thing with regards flaking rust and dirt. Now I've found that all the metal brake pipes across the rear are no good just could not undo them all seized and twisted off when trying to undo them so I'm replacing the whole system. I've spent most of my time at moment stripping out every thing and trying to scrape wire brush and sand all parts and have started to give them a coat of paint pictures to follow.
I am not sure how the progress thread works so I'm hoping I've put this in correct place.

Another update while cleaning off the swinging arms I found a small hole in each arm in the corner which is now at my local garage having plates welded in as this is an MOT failure. So if you have the need to jack your car up I'd have a look if I were you because it's where all the dirt and muck gets caught up and if I'd not been cleaning and derusting I'd have not found it. I'm hoping to start putting things back together tomorrow.

It has been a lot of work to get to this stage. In the end I had to get my mate at where my car is mot to get old bushes out after trying to push them out with a 20 ton pressure press he had to burn them out with a blow torch because they wouldn't budge. He welded up the small holes in corner of swinging arms and pushed out wheel bearings fitted new and fitted the new brake back plates. ive now got it back home cleaned it down primed and painted with stone chip paint, fitted new bushes and going to start putting it back in car tomorrow.
