I had a think about how I could cut tapered pieces to make ramps on my table saw. This what I did.
Find a thin piece of wood with at least one straight “factory” edge. Lay the taper you wish to cut near to the unknown edge (none factory edge).
screw some blocks to the thin wood so the the edge to be cut is along the edge and clamp the the 2 pieces together.
Then turn it over and fit 2 screws into the piece to be cut to hold it against the guide blocks.Sink the screws below the surface.
Then, using the factory edge against the fence run it through the saw.
Support the side being cut off at the end of the cut, remove the 2 screws holding the other one to the jig and you have 2 tapered sides for a ramp
Tony.
