Today while driving the delightful roads of East Sussex I hit a bomb crater and I damaged a back wheel so it's now a choice of trying to find a decent secondhand one or changing my wheels.

I bought sometime ago a set of these as I like a set of pepper pots and with our roads I think the smaller the wheel the better.

Or would you just go for the originals which are theseimage.jpg

It's a bit of a shame really as the wheel that was on the car was in fantastic condition but here's the damage.image.jpg

You can pick up the Z stars for very little money now, run both, summer and winter wheels!
The 15's will be fun as I imagine it only has 195 or 205 section tyre.

I think the pepperpots are diabolical (sorry - I know some people love them), especially as they are 15". I've just removed a set from my project 1.9 in favour of the more standard pre-facelift 16" Z Star you also show.

I've been trying to give that set of the pepperpots away for the last month and I finally achieved it yesterday.

Personally if all the wheels are otherwise tidy wheels I'd get the dent taken out. It might only cost you £30-£50 if you shop around. That said it's not difficult to pick up a Z Star wheel, probably with a tyre for £25-£30.

Thanks guys,
When I bought the car it had a set of newish mismatched cheapo tyres on the back which are still on the car and I was hoping to wear them out then either bung on a set of uniroyal or Toyos on the back.

But I found a wheel on eBay that's in good nick and it has the same make tyre on the back as the dented wheel so I might buy it and get the tyre removed off the damaged wheel and that way have a matching set on the back of the car.

I'm always up to help a fellow Zedder wear some tyres out.

I'm sure I have a good zstar wheel

I'm in Woking Surrey so not too far
Thanks I might take you up on that..
I've just been on eBay and the wheel I saved has now gone and another came up for £40 with a decent tyre and when I asked the seller about them he said " I've just been out in the yard and one the boys has scrapped them" then they were removed from eBay.

There's another wheel which looks good on eBay for £30 with a threadbare tyre and the guy is miles away but he said he could deliver it in a couple of weeks for £10 if I'm ok with that so I might take him up on the offer as long as he doesn't forget.

There's also a few for sale for about £40 odd quid with delivery but the wheels look a bit shoddy the shame of it is the wonky wheel was immaculate so I don't want to put a wheel back on in poor condition.

It's worth having your own wheel repaired.

I managed to get a wheel today which is near immaculate for £42 with delivery it was the one with the threadbare tyre so it's only a matter of changing the tyre over now.
I will keep the old one though as its always handy to have a spare and it is repairable if needed, I most probably find out now that it's only about 20 quid to get the wheel straight after all this palaver lol.
Here's the new one.

At least it won't need a refurb as the others on eBay did look a bit scruffy and scuffed.

I saw someone was also selling 3 wheels with tyres on eBay for 50 quid or offers I was thinking of going for them but it was pickup only again and miles from my address.
But it could do someone a turn as I found the going price for a wheel is between £35 and £50 with some salvage yards wanting as much as £80 a wheel.
