We just got word from our management Company over in Florida telling us that Wishes Villa came through the Hurricane pretty much unscathed. So to all of you who offered your best wishes to us for a good outcome over the last week or so and yesterday at Torksey, thank you very much ! At least we will be able to have a holiday when we go next and not have to work.

THATS good news mate :thumbsup: My sister in law is with family over there and I'm worried sick about her, cant get hold of her.
 
Thank you Niall. My mate who's there said they lost power for only 12 hours but many will be without power for varying lengths of time. Where are they staying mate?

She was in Venice beach but got evacuated inland to a crisis centre, haven't hear from here since yesterday, sure she is OK she is with family.
 
Hope you hear something soon all the same mate, just for peace of mind.:)

There is another one 730 miles off Florida mate but they don't think it will impact Florida. More likely the Carolinas or even the North East US. And, if I'm honest I don't really mind missing the next one.;)

Lots of trees and branches and awnings blown down. Worst destruction has been from Tornados which were spawned by the Hurricane.

Funny that, we had a short storm about two hours ago and just up the road they had a Tornado....
It was just on the news. Big greenhouse destroyed and lots of damaged houses.
 
Just watching the news now, re British virgin island. It's a real sorry state of affairs there,poor souls. Makes you realise what a close call it was for Florida.
