Wire wraped round leg

hi guys, another job. I put new bottom arms, lolipop bushes track rod ends and drop link and when i took the passenger side front wheel off theres a wire wrapped round the strut, is it a brake pad wear sensor or something else

Could well be. Front left and rear right have brake pad wear sensors fitted I believe.
