Sounds like one of my days! I was at Aylesford at 9 this morning then onto Crawley near Gatwick and back. But hey we all have a job to do and that's mine. It's not a bad job just the hours get the better of you sometimes.:)

TBH the main gripe with my job is the repetiveness, doing basically the same things on different vehicles in the same dark building, and in the colder weather having the door down means you don't see much sunshine.:(

Doom and gloom Tony. Thats the one big bonus with my job. I see different things and area's everyday. When the sun shines it's great, when it's pi**ing down its not so great. I'd like to become an mot tester actually. How do I go about it Tony? I agree with you once the Novalties worn off its proberly a little repetitive but to go to one place of work, do your shift and go home is very appealing. At least you know what time your getting home. ;)

I have to agree Dave, that is something that was missing when I worked for myself....... The hours were very flexible to say the least. These days to be a tester you have to be qualified with all the paper work as a mechanic/technician before you can get on the course. Years ago basically anyone could go on a course, at a garage I used for my tests when I worked for myself, one was a plumber and was owned a snooker club!

Tony.
