Winter tyres - did you know?

Part of the issue is that people (usually younger or inperienced) put all there trust in the magic properties of ABS and traction control thinking they can continue to drive just the same on cold wet roads as they did for the previous 6 months on dry warm roads.
There's a series of bends a couple of miles from home near Fenton and anytime now they will claim their first of often many victims of the winter. I treat these bends with the respect they deserve but most mornings there will be an idiot trying to climb in my boot.

As young and inexperienced as I am I do like to drive slowly in bad conditions and watch everyone else realise their car doesn't do everything for them. When you see people over take you in the snow and then start fish tailing you know going slow was the right choice

I've a spare set for my Astra H if anybody needs a set. I popped Michelin multi climates on this year. They are around 6mm, pm me if interested, cheap to good home!

As a long term BMW driver for over 20 years ...but a new Z4 driver...taking the plunge and getting a set of winter tyres fitted on Saurday

PS Even the best roads up here are like rural roads anywhere else....so I'm pretty sure I'll be needing them
