When you look at my storm force cover and see whats on it i.e bird crap and sap and moss and grime and a lot of god knows what (there are trees around us here) then i'm glad I have saved my paint, there are a few golden rules and they are to wipe the car down before putting on the cover and also to make sure the cover is tight and on a nice day take it partly off so it can properly dry out under the cover even though it is a breathable cover its still worth doing

been using a cover for years and it never damaged the paint just as long as you follow a few simple rules and anther plus point is the disks don't rust and you don't need to clean the car before you go anywhere
Just a little tip I just thought of is I have valve covers for the tyre valves that are green when the air pressure is ok and go red when it drops, its a good visual marker to warn you as I don't drive the car from one week to the next, got then on e-bay for just a few £
