So i've been wanting to install a big wing on top of the trunk, does anyone has one? I was also thinking about making one with servos to make it like the f2 cars.those wings are sick.

Err…why?!?

Welcome! Whereabouts are you based?

I know, i know. Most people would not agree with that, but i do really want one. So far i have not come across one of my liking, so i guess i will just fabricate one with adjustable angles of attack that responds to the throttle and the brakes.
Im in sf ca.

Z4 wing may fit, on that z3 it has a wing but really difficult to see.

Oof that Z4 looks great. Future track car project inspiration right there!

Various profiles available on the 3d printing sites, your big problem will be making it moveable without immense complexity. And making it look decent at the same time. Most try and make the wing move, better and simpler to make the mount move, that kind of limits you to a pillar mount. Only downside of that is it requires more rigidity of the wing itself to prevent flex/vibration under road use.

Love it …

I hope all Welsh people are as nutty as you then I will fit in 😂😂

Going to Jack Smith in Swansea in August to have a new roof fitted on mine as the 1.9 is just starting to go … so no point putting it off
and I will meet up with my brother as Swansea are playing Crawley in sone cup on the evening I am there.

but as to wings on Zeds … nah… ruins the look of the car

I c, but making it moveable is not that hard. making both mounts moveable, that would be hard cuz of weight. wing rigidity will be provided by connecting rods from the motors to the wing.
take the z4 wing for example, if you cut the inner part of the wing and add 2 actuators mounted on the wing pillars u can make like a flaps kind of thing. im still trying to figure out the set up in relation to the brakes and accelerator inputs. but I think its totally doable, f2 cars have that set up.
