I've got hoops for sale, or a chrome show bar instead, no non roll hoop wind deflector though.

Found one at last!
£140 for a genuine BMW wind deflector.
What a difference it makes with the lid off.
All set now for my adventure to Le Mans next month

The type one can as it is mounted on the turrets, not sure about the type two though and that is what you have got.

Looks like mine is a type one then (supplied with car in 1997, no roll over bars). It has an inbuilt lock.

My type 2 didn't lock as such .
When you fit it it clicks into the mounts under the plastic but it doesn't like key lock anywhere to remove it you just tug upwards to release it again

Think it has like a springed pin that locks into a grove my first zed was like this.

Yep thats correct so it only snaps into place not locked for anti theft
