My z3 didn't come with a wind break for between the roll bars......is it worth getting one and do they fit all models of z3 or do you need special fittings. What do they cost approximately. Thanks, Nigel

Hello mate, not sure on the cost but a deffo yes on getting/needing one, makes a big difference. There are a variety available to you, others with hoops will be along to show you theirs.

Yes yes yes you definitely need a wind deflector :p
It does make a lot of different ;)
We wouldn't be without one ;)
I can't remember how much they cost ;)

I think @Synclare was selling one mate, he will pop along now he's been tagged. Apologies if I'm incorrect. Ooh and yes you need one to keep your ears attached to the side of your head!!! :D

I found it only made a difference with the windows up, but if you are going to drive with the windows up and have a wind deflector behind you, you might as well just get a car with a sun roof and not bother with a convertible.
Roof down, windows down and get that wind in your hair. (well that's if I had any hair)

If you have factory roll bars, Just roadster will sell you a perspex one, they attached with velcro straps
clear £95 tinted £105 i think? but they advertise on E bay or give them a call they are based near Doncaster but post all over the world

I bought mine from Just Roadster ( I have no roll bars) so I got in contact with them first to find out about fitting and they were very knowledgeable, turns out one of their directors has a Z3.
There you go, another useless fact.

Hi, depends what type of roll bars you have as to your options. If as I suspect you have the type I've listed in 'For Sale' under Genuine OEM Roll Hoops then you have two options. Firstly the genuine BMW mesh type which I also have for sale (such shameless plugs ), these simply drop over the roll hoops and have little hook type brackets to secure them to the trim - many ebay offerings are missing these. Secondly you could have a rigid Perspex type, better rear vision but usually stop you getting into the top cubby box, harder to store in the boot. Mesh type have a centre drop down zipped section to give clear rear vision with hood up so you can leave the deflector in place all the time. I'm sure @Bozzy who has tried both will give you his views. I usually sell them at £100, in summer they sell on ebay around £120 but as we are in winter ebay will probably be a cheaper option as folk don't want them at the mo :) Ooh you'll need (but not essential) the longer studs that the hood cover clips onto also

If you check with @ BMBabe she has one of mine that is free standing and can be used with roll bars! Negotiate with her please! (Another shameless plug) lol
