Let me explain why I am running this competition. As some members will know and some members won't know I recently purchased a Nextbase 412GW dash cam for my Z4. I also purchased the accompanying manufacturers hard wiring kit for the said camera. Having tried the camera extensively I can honestly say its brilliant and therefore decided to inspect the hard wiring kit. Sounds simple doesn't it but it has taken me three days just to get the box open. This was a wasted three days as all I recognised out of the what seems to be 7654 components in the box is a bit of wire. Deciding that this was a job best left to somebody who was born with a spanner in one hand and a welding torch in the other hand I rang the local stealers and the resulting answer I received gave birth to this competition.

Conversation:
Me: "Could you tell me why my interior boot release button is missing please".?
Nice man at BMW: "Is it a lever or a button".?
Me: "Its a Z4"
Nice man at BMW: "Some models do not have them fitted so it may be that the handbook is referring to a different model".
Me: "Its a 3.5is".
Nice man at BMW: "I don't know then".?
Me: "Ok can you tell me how much you would charge to hard wire a dash cam in my Z4"?
Nice man at BMW: "It would be the cost of 1hr of labour to fit it".
Me: "How much would that be"?

Now that's the competition. If any member can tell me the price he quoted for who of labour then that member wins the prize and boys and girls WHAT A PRIZE YOU WILL WIN!

The winner of this elite, upper class, top of the range, no expense spared competition will win NOT JUST ONE but TWO BRAND NEW CARRS PASTIES!!! (refer to my other thread referring to Cars Pasties).

These pasties are completely brand new with no sucking marks or bite marks and will be delivered to the winner free of charge.

My decision as to the winner will be final and binding and fairness will be upheld at all times but as I am in North Wales this weekend members who live in North Wales will have more chance of winning.

Well that's it boys and girls, enter the competition by guessing how much the stealers wanted?
 
£110 per hour from a BMW Main Stealer I should think?

Edit: My local "under the arches" garage did mine at £39 per hour x 1 :D

Nope wrong!........... my local reputable auto audio/security electricians also quoted me £40 to fit the dash cam.
 
I'd guess £125ph + VAT so £150 in total.

I say this in the nicest possible way,...... but there is something else that is in desperate need of wiring up correctly first.... =))

If I ever get to meet you, we can have a packet of beer and a glass of bacon or two....:confused: :wacky:
