I just returned from sears department store. They will be closing this store soon. They had tires on sale. They were 15% off the regular price. However, they had a few tires that were sent off to the side that were 50% off. They were reduced because there were special orders that no one had picked up. Among these tires were two tires that are on the rear of my Z are 255/45/17. These tires are slightly smaller. They are two 245/45/17. eagle sport a/s and one pirelle cinturato P7 all season. I bought them anyway. It will be a slightly smaller tire. But I knew that they had to sell them because they are closing the store. I purchased all three tires for $200. I hope that the difference in the tires size will not matter. As many of you know, these tires do not last long on the back of a BMW. They only last for about 20,000 miles. They should last, at the rate I drive that car until I am about 98 years old. What is your opinion on how they will perform on the car?
Won't be anything like that with car tyres (I hope) and it is only an annoying flashing light.
Must admit, I did wonder earlier if the date code was stamped on tyres for America, no reason they shouldn't be but different things happen in different places.
