Widebody Rear Subframe

Interesting question, so just had a quick look online and it came up with this :-

The Z3 was based on the E36 3 Series platform, while using the rear semi-trailing arm suspension design of the older E30 3 Series. It is the first mass-produced Z Series car.

Reason for asking is I want to refresh the subframe so thought of picking one up secondhand to reduce the time it will be off the road.

The beams are all the same on the Z3 (Not including Z3M) So you can pick a second hand one up.

I have one in stock at the moment, just about to powder coat it. Drop me a PM if you need one they go quick.

According to realoem my 2.2 takes this, which fits allsorts of e36s.

Really it needs your last 7 to do a cross-check.
No, it fits only the E36 compact, all other 3 series models have completely different rear beams.
There are various trailing arms as well, depending on facelift / pre facelift / 4 or 6 cylinders.

And if you follow the clicky link thing you'll come to

which does indeed list lots of e36 compacts. This only goes to show the subtle difference in English between "allsorts" and "all sorts". And inputting your last seven would, indeed, give you a full list of everything there is to know. Pointless, really, it's a well known fact that the answer to everything is 42.
