No, the 1.9 was never build as a wide bofy.
Mine is converted to a wide body by the previous owner

I am seriously tempted to convert my facelift to a pre-FL widebody...

If that is reasonably doable i'd go for it. Thinking of adding a 2.8/3.0 to my stable, hence some of the questions above. Have decided to seek a prefacelift 2.8. Now to find a well specified car in the right condition, colour and price.

Thanks Bazza. It will likely take some time to find the right car and, having done a fair amount of research, I know what I want - it will likely take some time but absolutely no hurry.
