Anybody got an idea why I suffered tramlining when driving along the Sheffield ring road?:confused::confused:

In fact, despite driving along the rails the car showed no sign of the tramlining associated with some of our cars.

Mind that train coming up behind you :p

Remember a mate of mine getting stuck in tram-lines on a motor-bike out in Germany years ago. Shame about the tram coming the other way.

My father-in-law used to tell us the tales of riding his bike into Coventry, during the second world war, to go on fire watch duty (during the day he worked in a foundry which was a protected occupation) . Getting the bike wheel stuck in the tram lines was, it seems, a common occurrence. The riders generally fell off before being hit by a tram. Like many cities the tram lines were ripped out in the sixties.
