just sat watching tv, rain starts and 5 minutes later the power is out and the guttering on the house can't cope with the water flow. Epic lightning show too! Came from nowhere, after a lovely top down cruise home...

Got power back for now at least, but it's still mad outside! Can't remember the last time the power has gone off here.

Hope it's calmed down now Gaz as it must have been bad as you made the news. Moving east now. Looks as if Belgium had a bit of a time as well. Very little rain here near Leicester/coventry but might get some later.

Horrendous storm last night most of the night local train station signal box Broxbourne out of action this morning hit by lightning and local general flooding.
Mad weather really extreme.
