Just been given this.
Is it any good? I was told it is a bit special, but I wouldn’t know as I hate the stuff!

That's got to be past it's "sell by" date now surely ? Best send it to me for environmentally disposal:whistle:

Nah it’s rubbish, but I know a good Home for rubbish .....;)

Paul , I cannot tell a lie (unlike these previous posts) i think it would be very nice and if you dont honestly like it I do.;)
Just to help you out I could take it off you hands, I normally don't touch the stuff, at least that's what I thought Shirl meant when she said it wouldn't touch the sides:thumbsup:

Tony.

Yes it's a nice bottle it's a special edition so will be limited number .
I have a glenlivet French oak reserve bottle in my small collection that I got for my 40 th that would now cost nearly £70 to replace.

Keeping good skotch in a bottle is nearly as bad as keeping a car as a garage queen.

Yep, top tipple is that, got to be £100 a bottle, I used to love a good whisky but can't even stand the smell of it now

I prefer Cognac. But agree with @Jack Ratt Needs to be drunk. Got a little bit left in Special Reserve Edition Remy Martin £160 a bottle. Luckily for me i did not have to buy it

I love single malts did have quite a lot a home but have slowly necked them down to my last three not overly keen on really peaty ones though. Enjoy it.
Thanks Althulas, but I do not drink any spirits, so I will just have to bring it along to zed meets for you all to try. Not just before you drive home though!

Got a bottle of that when I worked on board a cruise ship in '94. There are no taxes when the ship buys the whiskey so you can buy it as a crew member from the ship at almost cost. It ran me about $10. at the time. Still have it sitting in the basement in a closet somewhere. If I can find it tomorrow, I'll take a picture of it. Saw this on you tube. Watch what the guy does at 00;35. Can you imagine doing this when someone buys you the most expensive whiskey at a bar and you do this and ask for a second glass. Easy way to get killed. I wonder how many of the film crew were standing on the side just out of frame waiting with open mouths.........
