Got to agree.
I like a dish but this is one of my favorites without a dish.
I so think you need to have a M bumper (or similar) and mirrors to finish it off as the standard 6cyl bumper and mirrors are just too straight for these wheels.
On this estoril car it should be amazing (maybe in shadow chrome like the M wheels).

Sorry to hijack the 'alloys' thread, but I recently read your threads in relation to modifications you have made to your car over the last couple of years - very tastefully done! If you ever sell the car someone will be getting a really good Z3!

Dave, what the the alloys on your car? They look similar to style 42 which I have, and need to get sorted, at a massive cost I bet.
But if these are cost effective might be worth looking at.
 
I'm with you David, I'd love a set of Styling 24's. Love the old skool M wheels :)

@Michaelpase, has just fitted a set of these to his - style 23 from the E36 M as well. Look splendid, hopefully he'll drop a picture here :)

They all look the dogs do dahs to be honest, but for me BBS alloys have the history & stories just to edge it...mind you I love the Alpina alloys & the CSL'S :eek:oh dammit, I'm gonna stick a thread up and get some feed back from the lads & lasses on the forum :D
 
Is there a pic of the MR roadstars on a non M Z3? If they fit, could look good and are easy to keep clean!

It's been done many times previously, although the offsets on the rears gives you a couple of headaches on how to achieve the fit. You can either...
  • Run front rims all round with no modification. From memory spacers on the rear to push them out to fill the arches would be visually more pleasing.
  • Run the standard staggered wider rims on the rear, but they align just outside the arches. A visit to a body shop and getting your arches rolled out would fix that though.

I'm sure it has been done many times before. Guess there is less of a bodywork issue on 2.8/3 litre cars tan the pre facelift smaller engine cars?
 
I like the Type 42s which I believe my car has.

However, I have checked BM specs on t'interweb and the BMW type 42 doesn't seem to have any Allen bolt head round the rim circumference like mine do, so I am now not sure what my wheels are - any ideas?

I have the type 42s that are wider at the rear and I'm sure they have Allan key bolts all round the rim.
 
Type 42 is also known as BBS 744. I have them, and a good set appear to go for up to £1k. :D
