It depends on what you are looking for. The C110 code reader has been bought by a few on here and will deal with most engine codes, reset airbags etc. If you search eBay for BMW C110 Code you will find plenty of them around £40.
You may also need one of these converters depending what comes in the kit. It's so you can read the codes from the round socket in the engine bay, as not all codes are available from the socket under the steering column.
I recently got the C130 and a adapter. It can read a few items and can read some live data like rpm, temp, oil temp and a few others, it can reset the airbag but funnily enough I can't get it to reset the service lights can you with the C110 @GazHyde
Going to have a look at the BC cables as it should do a lot more.
I don't have one myself, I have something different. My Garmin sat nav doubles as a code reader with a Bluetooth adapter. I have a B800 for resetting airbags.
Great to have two in one all the time with you! Do you think it works for Z3 with any other navi?
I will feel more comfortable with the cover of a code reader, while traveling!
The code reader integration in the Garmin works better than it ever does as a sat nav Dan. When I bought it 4-5 years ago it was cheaper to do this than buy a decent code reader.
