I am compiling a list of all the parts that I will need to do a full refurb at the end of this year. Most of the parts on the car are probably 20 years old and so if I do it all, then I will only have to do it the once.
Might as well try and get everything asap....as will only go up in price!!!
There are a couple of guys that I have know for years that work for my local motor factors.....so hopefully get some good discount !!!!!!
Got all the part numbers for the discs, pads, shoes, hoses, all front wishbones, links, bushes etc, rear bushes (Complete set of rubber ones) front and rear springs and shocks, but now have a query.....
Seen lots of threads which mention the top mounting kits for the shocks.....but have no idea what is included or what I would need.
From the two expolded views can anyone advise the parts which are usually replaced.

I bought Meyle HD mounts for mine, as far as I remember all you get is the mounts, nuts and the gaskets, rear 7, 9 & 10, front 1, 2 & 13. The other parts are related to the shocks / springs but are not supplied with them apart from the top nuts / washers.

When I did my fronts recently I got Lemforder top mounts and they literally came with nothing, i.e. it was just no.1 in bottom diagram on its own. I got gaskets and replacement nuts (no.2) from BMW cos the latter were showing bits of rust.

I was hoping to reuse a lot of it but ended up replacing pretty much everything once I'd got it all off the car and realised what a state it was in. I had a much better idea of what needed replacing once I'd stripped it down. And the RealOEM diagrams start making much more sense once you have it in pieces and get up close to it!
