My drivers side rear wheel suspension has gone - it’s one of the arms / wishbones but I can’t look at the moment.

Couldn’t see anything on eurocar parts - does anyone know if this is something bmw still sell? If not, what are my best options?

will it be an expensive job to swap?

Thanks

Rear trailing arm is common part to fail/rust through. IF BMW can get one, make sure you are sitting down when you ask how much. Best option is to buy a good second hand one and get it powder coated. Getting the wheel bearings out is a pig usually.

New from bmw approaching £1000 bare no bushes back plates bearings etc.
Best option is a decent or fully or partially refurbished arm.

One of our resident breakers may be able to help.

Pre face-lift 4 cyl models use a different arm from face-lift and pre face-lift 6 cyl models.

Stephen.

Mine is a 2.8 wide body S reg.

please let me know if anyone has some for sale.
Would swapping both be advised or not necessary?

bad that it’s a common fault, I was lucky it happened at low speed!

If it was so bad it broke while you were driving the car had a p*** poor MOT last time. It probably needs a good looking over by someone who knows Z3s well.

Tony.

ps. It is a common fault but it's a 26 year old car too.
