Where first?

I have been covering 2 centres Dawn
1 in Ayr and 1 in Dumfries but as of tomorrow i am now locked down into a local centre so until further notice no more floating around covering the centres in my patch have to stay in one place ( so put inin the ayr center as they have no tester and this will be until further notice)
our master techs are the same locked down as well.
I can see cabin fever setting in fairly quick as I have spent the last 14 yrs as a floating tester so not used to being in the one place for an extended period

Unfortunately my key worker status still stands so still at work mon - fri :(.
But there is some light on the horizon as i have a week off next week :)
Stephen.
Stay safe and take any safety precautions you can, Stephen.

Have you any plans for your week off?

I'm surprised nobody is going for a drive tbh, use necessary precautions when filling fuel and away you go. The roads are amazingly quiet and fuel is down to £1 a litre, or £1.15 for 99 RON

i think another trip up to Llyn Brianne and up over mynydd epynt is in order when the restrictions are lifted...

Thanks Dawn .

I had lots of plans for next week and every one of them shot down .
Was meant to be finishing on Friday night then driving to Grimsby to pick up daughter and grandkids who were coming up for the week ( cancelled)
Its our anniversary next Wednesday was meant to be going up north for another Scottish run recce ( cancelled)
I was also going to get some slate delivered to finish last bit of front garden ( place where get the stone shut so cancelled) .
So yeah had lots of things on but not any more.
But there is 1 plus point.
Its a week now where I can cut my social exposure down by a considerable amount for a few days as least.
Stephen.

That could turn out to be the best choice Steve. Even if it wasn't truly a choice.

Tony.

Straight round to see the grandkids for me, then a meet up with Paul the o.p. and anybody else off here somewhere scenic would be magic. Followed up by a ride out on the two wheeler and a few jars that night in a jam packed local. What we took for granted hey chaps?

Too right Tony, my local is so close yet so far at the moment.

Tony.

Cutting social exposure sounds a good plan @Stevo7682 Keep safe and be creative in how to amuse yourself and keep the grey matter agile.

Believe me, I really want to but its not the right thing to do, what if you have an accident or break down, you are then coming into contact with people and possibly stretching the NHS a little bit more

Use latex gloves when filling up at the pumps as the pump handles etc possible sources of passing on virus. Take your own in case someone has nicked the ones from the dispenser on the forecourt.

No disrespect to anyone, and no I don't agree with anyone just going out for a drive as the current rules state we should stay at home except for the reasons provided by the government.

However, it does make me smile at all the comments, on all forms of social media, whereby people are commenting, "what if you are involved in an accident".

I would estimate that there's about 80% less traffic on the road, so in theory an 80% less chance of you being involved in an accident with another vehicle. If you consider how many accidents most people have had in their driving "careers", it won't be many.

What you should be more worried about is when everyone is let out again, that’s when the danger increases!

France!

What its this, the shout-a-random-country thread? Reminds me of an F1 racing game from a few years back which had a "random Murray" option. Every now and again during a race he'd shout "Barcelona" or some such, amusing the first couple of times but soon got switched off. Oh the good old days.;)
