Is there anyway to find out what type of rims were originally on the car? Registered Oct 1998
These Wolfrace rims were on it when I bought it, but I would like to put it back on BMW wheels.
Tyre size is 205/50/R16 all round.
(Hopefully it won’t be the pepperpot ones !!)

just put it on whatever wheels you want

Looking at the link they are style 35. I assume they will take the 225/50/R16 that the car should be running on.

Although not a lot, It does mean my current wheels are thinner and a smaller diameter than they should be.

Now to find some wheels !!

There are some websites where you can put your VIN in and it will tell you what your car came with from the factory.

Put your VIN in this and it should tell you the spec https://www.etkbmw.com/bmw/EN/vin/decoder/LD10855/EN

My car is a 1.9 12/97 build and still has the original LA ZStar wheels shown in the pic.

Got a real bargain today......

4 off style 55 wheels with tyres for £50. Picked them up today from a guy in Maidstone who has done a Cobra conversion of a Z3. These were, as he put it ‘ just in the way, and taking up too much garage space!!!
Only need a clean, and 4 new BMW centre badges, and they can go straight on the car. ( once it stops raining long enough to get them out of the KIA and put them in the garage)

I just cant make up my mind on wheels. I was planning on buying some 18" MV1s for my Z3 but now having second thoughts.
There is something about the standard 16's that i quite like, i think its the retro basic look that appeals.
I think i will be sticking with them now.

Fitted the new wheels on today and went for a run. It may be psycological, but they do seem to make the car sit better on the road. ( Difference of old wolfrace 205/60/R15 And the new 255/50/ R16. ?????)

Not bad for the price (50.00 for all 4) ....so will run on these until the tyres need replacing, then put the Wolfrace back on, get these refurbed with a full set of new tyres, swap back, and sell off the wolfrace ones
