Decided to get the wheels sorted out on the new 3.0. They were ok from the front but very corroded at the back. So, after seeing good reports on the forum dropped them off at City Wheel Refurbishment in Birmingham. They will get a full chemical strip, shot blasting, sanding/prep/refurb work then a full powder coat. I've gone for Silver Sparkle as the plain silver looked a bit flat.
Will report back...

Forgot to say £30 a corner including removing and fitting the tyre. We'll see:nailbiting::nailbiting:

Great price pal, silver sparkle looks great, I saw it only last week at the powder coaters near me and I was well impressed

Agree with all the cheap comments. So, if I'm honest I'm not expecting 100% perfection, still a lot cheaper than the £65 a corner I paid for the last set to be painted. They are very busy with lots of wheels in for refurbing. They seem to know what they are doing and the set I looked at were very good. We'll see;)

If you take just the rims it's only £20 a wheel, up to 18".

I'll also be interested to see how they turn out Dave. Might take mine there at some point as I kerbed both near side wheels only a few months after an expensive refurb :meh:. Swore I'd never pay over the odds again as it's so easy to catch a wheel and chip the paint.

I had my 78’s done there and also in sparkle silver. 4 winters later and they still look great. I’ll post some pics later when I can find them on the computer. Recently had my summer wheels done there and for the price you can’t go wrong!

Not true. I didn't take you through a farmyard at all this weekend. But as you keep saying I do I'll see what I can arrange for next time;)
