Just watched Ant & Mike doing a Toyota Supra 2.8i on Quest. I had two back in the 80's, a dark blue Mk1 which was the same body as the Celica and narrow wheels followed by the much nicer Mk2. That was white with navy blue velour interior, wide wheels and the flared arches like the one on the show. Much nicer looking car than that orange looking one on the show and it didn't have that nasty spoiler on the top of the rear tailgate. It was a great car, stylish, excellent engine and gearbox (why isn't the Z3 box as good?), but with the light back end and wide tyres you had to be careful with the right foot in the wet ! On a few occasions I was left wondering why I was going down the road with the car facing the hedgebottom !! Of course the problem here, unlike in the US, was rust like most cars at the time. Mine went all round the sunroof. Mechanically it never missed a beat and needed no new parts in all the time I had it.
