Is it a case of you get what you pay for? Or a set of £30 ebay jobbies do just fine?

A spacer is a piece of machined steel. It doesn't move so it can't wear out. It is held in place by being clamped between the wheel and the hub. The quality of the machining will dictate how much they will cost, but as you can't see them when they are fitted a low cost set will do the job just as well as a more expensive set.
If you have access to a CNC machine shop you can make your own very easily

What he said. Bear in mind, the wider you go the more you'll spend, and you'll be needing longer locking wheel bolts to suit. Will you have much in the way of clearance between wheel and wheel-arch now you've dropped it? Have heard of people having to get wheel-arch lip rolled.

I could get some made but for the hassle £30 is worth paying.
I thought that would be the case though.
I already have 20mm on but since lowering the back nearside rubs. So going to 15mm.

Hi dave if you want to sell the 20mm spacers when you get the 15mm I will have them off you and bolts as well if available cheers Tony.

@yocky z3 2.0 you don't need longer bolts with this set of spacers as they are bolted to the hub then the normal size bolts fit in to them.... I have seen them tonight

Hi Tony yes fitted them last night got 12mm spacers on the rear and non on the front going to go for 20mm on the rear and put the 12mm on the front will get some pics up look really well.

That is exactly what I had on my Z3 mate, and I'm using the same on my Z4 with my 108's. Having fitted the Eibach springs maybe, just maybe I would be better with 15mm on the rear but only on rough - ish roads, they do look very nice with the 20mm on the rears. The wheels are right out to the arches, which is what I like.

Tony.

@Davyhoogy if you get them removed by tomorrow afternoon I can take them down to santa pod for @yoky z3 2.0
I don't have time mate got that fella coming to clean the car. Someone already wants them also
Sorry @yocky z3 2.0

@t-tony I get alot of rubbing on the back left when accelerating and turning right so must be changed. Gutted cos it looks great!

Just a thought @Davyhoogy you can "try before you buy" by just putting some washers on your wheel bolts. You can add them to get the desired look. Then just measure the washer stack and you know what size spacers you need.
Back in the day it was how a lot of people drove around but I wouldn't recommend it these days.

I did this when looking at wheel offsets to get an idea of what fitted would look like.
For the rear spacing i bolted the wheel back on stock and with a spirt level arch to floor measured the back space to rim lip then worked out the correct space that way.

That's a shame mate when it looks so good. A bit strange it only happens on the nearside too, couldn't be something as daft as the arch liner out of shape maybe? Either way I'll be interested in what size you come down to.

Tony.

Good point I'll have a look later this aft, the closest point is the top corner of the lower back bumper. So looking at the wheel about 2 o clock

Be nice if it was that Dave, and you could keep your spacers as is.

Tony.
