Well my first was a 2.8 in hellrot which I bought back in 2008 then after 2 years fancied a change and strayed to a Jag but had that less than a year as I just had to get back in the seat of a zed so after scouring the net came across a bargain ///M and just had to have it.

So here I am to stay with my dream car and it's all mine. :ymdevil:

I started with a 2.8 that i had for two years.. It was the perfect start to zed ownership and i was very happy with it..
I had always planed to own an //M at some point and this year i finally got my dream car..
Its a superb example and very different to the 2.8.. the feeling you get when your behind the wheel is amazing its such a muscular car and i cant help but smile everytime i look at it!!
Makes me weak at the knees.... :-ss
All i can say is roll on spring, i cant wait to have some roof down fun in her in 2012 s:mrgreen

Happy Zedding people!!!

I've had my Zed for nearly two years and bought it from a member of .net.
After taking redundancy from a large telecoms company and having another job lined up I decided to explore 2 seater roadster/ sports cars. I looked at MX5's, RX8's and zeds and kept coming back to the zed, so started doing more homework on the zed using .net as a base.

I looked at lots of zeds and saw some rough ones and some nice ones but the sellers of the nice ones expected silly money for their cars then a member of .net put their car up sale. It was only about 15 miles away so I went for a look. I found a lovely silver (the best colour) 2.8 with red leather interior. After a bit of haggling over things like brake discs and pads and a couple of trolley dings a deal was done and I was the proud owner of a new zed.

I put on new discs and pads and got the dings sorted but I haven't made may changes to the car but have spent a lot of money on cleaning products.
After my first winter with a soft top I decided that a hard top was required and started searching the web. I ended up buying a fixing kit from Aceman who kindly fitted it when I went over to him but the search for the top continued. Eventually I won one on ebay at a good price and now use it.
I will get round to posting a few pictures but I love my zed and will probably get a few mods done.

Started off at 17 with a 1.6 rover 45 which was an excelent car for the more descerning gentleman but didnt quite cut it for the young bachelor. So, 6 months ago i started looking for something small and fast, looked at s2000, rx8, 350z, mr2, the lot. Came very close to buying an MR2 but went back home to have a last look on autotrader and thaught i'd have a look at a 3 series with a nice engine in it. I'd allways thaught the Z3 would be an expensive car but i thaught i'd have a look anyway, Couldnt believe i could get a good looking convertable with 2.8 at the front and rear wheel drive for £3k, few calls to insurance companies later i started looking for one. Must have looked at 7-8 cars and they were either too expensive or rotboxes and then i saw one around 50 miles away. 2.8 in cosmos black for £2995, worth a look i thinks. Off i pop and 2 hrs later i walked out with the keys. It still amazes me that for just £3k you can get as much car as what the Z3 provides. I'll admit to only test driving 2.8's because it was what i thaught was the best compromise between power, price and insurance costs (im 21, cost me allmost half as much as the car) and the //M was far beyond my reach.

Its amazing we have 158 members yet only 42 know what cars they have. Have a look at Mick Walkers Complete Z series and you will find your model 8-} :ymparty:

There's no 'Z1' option... =((

I've been lucky enough to have had the Z1 for almost 5 years now, and although it's not particularly quick, it puts a smile on my face like no other car I've ever driven. I use it as often as I can - some say I'm mad because it's a low mileage example and totally original, but in my opinion you'd be crazy to just stick it in a garage under a cover and not use it as it was intended - it is a car after all!!

I've had the Z4 coupe for a few years now and it's brilliant - the only problem is that it's hard to drive slowly without getting bored!! As you can tell, I like cars you don't see everywhere, which is why the Z3 is so cool now. I'm still kicking myself for passing up on an immaculate Z3m about a year ago, but I didn't really have the space or money to justify it. One day.... Oh and if I win the lottery the first thing I'm doing is getting a Z8!!! B-)

One thing is for sure - if you want to get the most out of zed ownership, attend as many cruises and meets as you can!! :D

2.2 sport, topaz blue with blue roof and blue/black interior with only about 16k of miles on the clock! must update signature...

Bought/acquired through the family as it was in storage for a few years unused. Needless to say it started first time and has been rock solid as long as we've had her!

Our first Zed was a Titanium Silver 1.8 which we bought in 2007. We changed to an Individual Mora Red 2.0 in April this year as the car appeared in our village garage. It was fairly low mileage and single owner, who was a doctor and was well looked after. We got a good exchange price, as we knew the garage. :D

We have thoroughly enjoyed both Zeds and can't wait for the sunshine next year. B-)

Pity about the reset, Liam. Perhaps ask everyone to re-enter their poll vote.
