The answer....lots of dirt !!!!!

Thought the filters may need cleaning as not done it for years !!!!

Ended up taking it apart and the amount of dirt and crap that was inside it was amazing ( if not embarrassing)

BUT...all cleaned and drying out ready to assemble

Really embarrassed about this one....the water after cleaning all the bits

And too embarrassed to put the one of the sink after the water drained away !!!!!!

All back together again and it’s working

a bit of a struggle with one little spring and about half an hour searching for it after it pinged off across the kitchen

My Dyson is allergic to dust!

5 minutes of hoovering and the filter clogs up and it sounds like it's having an asthma attack.

Worst £400 spent ever!
