Starts out like this.

Gets hacked about and bent a bit.

And then turns black. As things do.

If I was to do it again I probably wouldn't put the join on the horizontal bit under the tank, just the one on the vertical bit. Total cost? About four quids.

Fuel Tank support straps, nice cheap replacement and should be an easy fit by the look of it.
Did you bend freehand or make a jig up?

Bent up in a vice, could have probably done it free-hand but it's easier that way.
