I was fortunate to recently receive a £100 award from work but it can only be redeemed against a select number of stores. Most are of no earthly use - the only one that is in anyway potentially attractive is Halfords.

So, given £100 to spend, what you get?
I'm torn between a general set of tools such as a set of ratchet flexible head spanners or a specific tool or tools.
What would you want to get and why?

Autoglym car wash and other autoglym products as these would get used.
Or
A dash cam if not for you Ian may be one of your son's

Always the same when you have no money loads of things you want, then along comes a voucher and you can't decide?

I put a dash cam in his car as soon as I got it Steve. The one in my Zed is a bit iffy though. Replacing that had crossed my mind anyway but, I want to get something I probably wouldn't otherwise have got.

Oooh, cleaning kit :D Fibre mitt, shammy, wheel brush, polish & wax. Nobody ever said "you can have to many car cleaning products" :D

Thats true Andy - but, I'm going to buy that anyway. Want to get something thats going to keep and be useful (someday).

Electric tyre pump? LED lamp? Car cover? Small fire extinguisher? Ramps? Trolley Jack? Oil drain pan?

Have most of those already.
I've long considered changing the head unit for a half decent DAB radio. £100 goes a decent way to paying for that - the downside is fitting it. Am a bit underwhelmed with the 3rd party single DIN panels for the Z4. Also, fitting it to ensure the BT and handsfree works OK. Can you trust Halfords to do it or has anyone else done that upgrade?

Half price deals on their Advanced Socket sets. I would get their sparkplug deal and a battery charger

Had spotted the half price on those
I bought an CTEK MSX5 charger last year when I first had problems starting my car - that got me another year out of the battery - that was finally replaced yesterday. Have used it on several other cars too. Nice bit of kit.

Flexible ratchet spaners, preferably with 6 point rather than 12 point heads. Less likelyhood of slippage and bashed knuckles.

Tony.

Halford do some great socket sets in their professional range which come with a long if not lifetime warranty, 100 quid will get a cracking set.

Have to agree. The 200 peace set looks great value at 50% off plus £100 towards it.

Just ordered the Advanced 200 piece socket and ratchet spanner set. List price £350 with 50% discount, £25 code discount (thanks to @Neilc) and £100 contribution from the award - Total cost to me : £50! :)
Happy bunny

You must work on different things to me Tim.;). Only things I come across then on are Landrovers.

Tony.
