Oh come on - there is nothing wrong with an Audi - I prefer them to the lesser BMW models, which are greatly over-rated. BMW have flogged the dead horse of rear-wheel drive for so long that people actually believe it, but front or rear wheel drive can be just as good, if they are set up properly.
Just compare the handling qualities of a good FWD car to those of a run of the mill RWD model, such as a Golf GTi to a BMW 316i . . . the BMW is simply a blancmange on wheels, and the same can be said for most of their cars, which are set up for Americans driving in a straight line to the supermarket. OK - their M cars are good at high speed, but I find them to also be over-rated on twisty bits. How the Z3 managed to get past the lack-lustre requirements of their marketing men I cannot imagine!
