My black Z3 came with style 64s and l actually really liked those wheels and if your car is a facelift, putting 20mn spacers on the rear will transform the look/stance without fouling thd arches. I changed to 17" wheels cos l got a good deal on a newly refurbed set but then regretted selling the 64s. I think they are 'of the era'

19s from an M3 on mine now, don't believe the horror stories, runs really nicely on them. Would put a picture on but Photobucket are dicking about it seems. And the previous owner put ///M gills on it, don't want the ///M police coming round and whining.

Dammit, I just DIDN'T NEED THIS THREAD!!!

Don't go to a BMW show then, you'll get serious wheel envy and spend days on eBay looking at split rims...

Cant stand your wheels @Dino D they really are horrible! :arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh:
Me too - literally can't stand them anywhere in the garage! have 3 sets and one set needs to go...deciding which ones...the 78's are gone but something turned up in its place so something else must go!

Well, I'm looking for a set of something nicer than my (rather crummy) #18 -- it'd cost me £200+ to get them refurbed, while I could spend that toward a new set of fancier ones anyway. I'll keep the #18's for winter!

PM me if you have spare spares :)

So many wheels to choose from! I'm liking the look of the 18" mv1 and style 78 wheels.

I do quite like the wheels and spacers will make a massive difference but I'm struggling to get hold of new hub/centre caps as the originals are terrible.

I have a brand new set of the centre caps which l never used.. they were the very last ones bmw had in the whole of Europe.. you can still get the bmw sticker thats in the middle of the style 64 hub cap.. is it just the stickers that need replacing?

The hub itself isn't too bad, it's the emblem that's corroded and barely visible. I didn't realise the emblem was a sticker, do you know if they're available from bmw?

Just my opinion, but anything bigger than 17" wheels on a Z3 to me is out of place! As if it's more about the wheels than the car!

Yes the stickers are still available as they are used on a wide range of centre caps.. don't buy non oem ones from ebay as they are flat whereas the bmw ones are slightly domed. Put the last 7 digits of your chassis no into the realoem site and select wheels, go to style 64 and you will see the sticker shown on the diagram and the part no.. easy

The old sticker comes off fairly easily then just clean up the face of the cap before peeling the backing off new sticker and then apply.. job done!
