They look like ///M from a 6 series normally they are diamond cut to the faces.

No not style 167s @Rudyrov as they only come in 19" and the tyres on the ones in the photo l uploaded are 17".

They look like the current 400 series alloys but most seem to be 18" + so that's why I think they must be replicas.

Yes, except for those which are ///M specific such as style 40 'roadstars'. They have a really low offset on the rears and won't fit a non-///M Z3 without modification.

You will also find that a lot of E36 & E46 3 series and 1 series wheels will fit. There are other models which also fit, but you can compare the dimensions of yours against that site to get a good idea of what does/doesn't!
