Hi guys
Just wanted to share a story with a happy ending. The right hand turn signal switch in my 1997 Z ceased operating as it should. Turns out this is not uncommon. Tried sourcing a new piece (prefer that to used if possible).
There was nothing in Australia so the BMW dealer sourced the last one in Germany at the BMW warehouse. Price AUD $840 plus installation AUD $250. Went ahead and ordered but the part disappeared before it left Germany. What to do???
Was referred to a company in the US (Turner Motorsport). They were brilliant.... They got me a brand new part cost AUD $340 and it arrived by Fed Ex in 2 weeks. Cost to install using my own Auto Electrician AUD $150. What a huge saving!!!! Problem solved ....

I know you guys in Europe have better access to older parts than we do here in Aus but if ever you get stuck I can't recommend Turner Motorsports more highly.

Happy driving

Ray
