What oil does everyone use?

Time for the first oil change. What are folks using, 10w-60, or 5w-40?
Moderate climate driving temp range 35-95 degrees F (1.67-35 C), rural highway driving for the most part... no track.

I figure to buy Castrol TWS Edge, or LiquiMoly.

I don't know which engine you have. On my 3.0, I am still using the original 0W 30 but with 150,000 miles on the clock I am planning to go up to 5W 40 next oil change.

Ah, sorry. I have the 3.2 L - S 54 in my Z4MR with 56k miles.

Doesn't it usually tell you the recommended oils in the owners handbook?

Yes, the owners manual says 5w 30 or 40, but the mechanic videos are mostly 10w-60 as is the Castrol Oil Selector web site. Seeking clarification from those wiser and more experienced than me.
 
What ambient temperatures are you using the ///M in?

10w/60 for the S54. Used this in my Z3MC for over 220K miles, no engine issues.
