So, having acquired my beloved Zed last Nov I’ve spent the winter months fixing and cleaning while parked up away from the salty roads. My task is nearing completion as spring is ready to sprung.....now planning some weekend road trips, and in search of inspiration.

For you not a weekend trip..but a decent road trip is almost any part of Scotland…great scenery, limited traffic limits and enforcement ..less traffic..great roads…just not always a great selection of accommodation

Crikey. Er. Anywhere. Cotswolds, wye valley, forest of dean. Symonds Yat.

No. Hang on.

Aberystwyth to Anglesey stop over at devil's bridge.

Er. No. Fort William to Inverness with stop over at Drumnadrochit.

In fact anywhere just away from the motorway.

But then, on the other hand, a blast up the M1 (at 69.9 mph m'lud) with the top down is something you gotta do. Really clears out the sinuses.

A44, pretty much anywhere in Andyglym territory.
And on our front door, North Yorkshire Moors/ Dales
National Parks. Oh and one of our favourite short blast's, 20 miles. The B1257 Helmsley to Stokesley, locally known at the mini TT.

Ah.... but you see familiarity breeds contempt !!!!!! Its an absolute privilege driving across the Cotswolds in every season for the day job, but fresh scenes are required for the weekends!!!!
As being Welsh, the Gower, Beacons(Bannaubrycheiniog) all lovely areas to be and drive. Mumbles is up and coming, Norton House, good parking and accommodation, can recommend Stackpole inn to stay Pembrokeshire. Black Lion New Quay Ceredigion, on the Gower Kings Head Llangennitth.

Know a chap who loves his commute - works in Helmsley and happens to live in Stokesley - great part of the world along with the Dales
