As it was my birthday on Wednesday my other half decided to surprise me with a weekend away? So once I got over the shock and stopped wondering why and what is she up to I started wondering what or maybe where is Llandudno perhaps? Having been busy with the mew dash cam this weekend I've not had time to ask my sat navy in the Z4 so I thought I would turn to the learned members of these hallowed halls of wisdom to seek advice. So without further ado can anybody tell me what is, where is and what do I do with or when I get there?

Turn left at Chester or is it right? Continue straight for 57 miles make a u turn your destination is on the left. Llandudno by far the nicest victorian sea side resort in the UK in my opinion...ice cream, punch and Judy... And anything else traditional you might want to indulge in.

I've been once to collect a pushbike.

Nice looking place.

Enjoyed having a drink with the locals, friendly people.

I stayed at the George Hotel on the sea front just after it was refurbished. Stunning victorian building that had been modernised really sympatheticly... Very memorable song playing in our room after we checked in....

I'll shut up now though, this isn't trip advisor :D

My grandparents used to holiday there often back in the day. We went once on a visit to North Wales and we liked it, a quaint old time place but that was 30 years ago

Tony.

Ha ha. Thought that was a spoof. But it really is Alicia Keys. Excellent.

One of the very first places to welcome electric vehicles.

There's really only one thing I can say ........................... T**t!!=))=))

Tony.

Its full of sheep, don't forget to take your wellies mate......:D

The Great Orme [the limestone headland of rock sticking out into the Irish Sea] is famous for Kashmiri Goats not sheep.

Llandudno still retains a lot of character , not been spoilt like other North Wales resorts. Mainly due to the Mostyn Estates still having overall planning control, via ownership or covenants

Lots of good restaurants , Theatre , Pier ,evening drive around the Orme-------come and enjoy.

It WILL rain

Bethgelat is near by as well for you who can remember the story
That's the dead guy and the dog isn't it?

The Prince kills the dog because he mistakes the dog as the killer of his son, then finds a dead wolf and realises he has fcuked up.. Sad story, especially for dog lovers. I just refreshed my memory from good old Wikipedia... Also says it's load of old bullocks... a 17th century chancer who ran a hotel made it up to con the tourists :bored: charlatans! ... I believed that story when taken there as a kid (in the rain)

The coast road that sweeps around the bay from Colwyn Bay, over past the Little Orme and down into Llandudno is the best way to arrive.
The whole of Snowdonia and Angelsey is easily accessible from there. Some fabulous scenery to get out and see.
Yes - it will rain. It isn't Spain!
