What have you made for your zed

Gauze cone air filter came with crap bracket witch failed after one summer, had a piece of decent alloy in garage so now it's as it should have been.
Bought black plastic mesh grill to replace OME, hated it so cut it up to use as support for S/S mesh bought from Halfords, mouted cold air trumpet into it at the same time. Lots of satisfaction but may not be very cost effective.

Quite a few posts about what you have bought for your zed so I thought 'What have you made'. Here's my contribution.

Armrest.Foam and leather from a recycled sofa.

Bootlid liner
Nice work Brian. Can you make me a bumpless boot section to replace my cd pocket!

Hi Dave. I could possibly make the rear piece of the carpet by copying mine but the side pieces are more difficult as they are steam moulded and complicated shapes. Will have a look as I have some spare carpet from when I did the boot lid liner.

Ooh Brian your a diamond! It's the back piece that creates the biggest problem regarding space. I'll pay you well for your trouble. What's your tipple?? :)

Hi Dave, what would you want for your humped piece as I will be installing a 6cd into Trinity for originality. I thought of swapping but the damn shipping costs would be pretty high going two ways but if Brian can cut what you need that's perfect. JIM

Let me see how I get on first hopefully manage to have a play during the week. The carpet is not a perfect match but close enough.

Just made these for Gary for his wind deflector and working in the Engineering industry helps.

I have just made a blanking piece so that I can ditch this load of useless "carp"

Thing is though, there's now more "Green to clean" - Does that rhyme Dave ??:)

Working on led rear lights now.

@t-tony fortunately that's how mine was built with the blanking plate.

I like these little improvements.

Brian,
What did you use for your boot liner and how did you secure it?
David.

I made a thin plywood base board and then covered it in automotive carpet from our local auto upholsterer and spray glued to the plywood base. The clips are genuine bits will have to sort out the part number.
I have a template for the backing board so can make another but may get broken in the post.

OK it's yours Jim if Brian can sort something out. Will discuss a nominal fee once we know!. :)

@Davejue1 I've had a look at the boot carpet and have 2 probs.
1. the piece I have left over isn't wide enough.
2. The carpet I have is very soft and will look saggy as the rear bulkhead goes back on itself.

Will have a rethink and a visit to our local auto trimmer for advice.

Don't go to any bother Brian. I really appreciate that you've offered but please there's no need to go out your way.
Cheers

JIM, I've had no joy sorting a flat card out so if it works with you I'll pay shipping one way? And idea who's best to use and how much?

Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave, I don't actually have the players in Canada yet they're still in the UK SO I DON't know if they work properly. So I'd like to get that sorted before committing to the swap. They should be picked up and posted shortly whenever Sean has time to get them. Hope you understand. I'm sure I saw a flat mat on eBay UK yesterday but forgot to get the number for you. Maybe do a search?? JIM
