Following an advisory last year thought I'd better give her a refresh

2 rear boots ready for our big Euro trip later in the year. I went for some Falken Ziex ZE310 Ecorun this time. They seem to get pretty good reviews, and they're A rated in the wet, so we'll see what they're like.
Did 17,642 miles on the old Avon ZV7s, so not too shabby.

Falken tyres had a good rep at TT when I was there Dave.

Well there's a sign you're just not trying hard enough.

I had similar dents (about 10) mostly on the passenger door also - 2 dents looked like car door strikes, more of a line than a round dink - my local (Ipswich) DentAce guy over 2 hrs worked his magic - absolutely brilliant job I can't even see the slightest blemish.

Inflation meant it cost me £200 but well worth it to restore to former glory.

Had the wheels refurbed.
Phoenix Alloys in Bristol, pretty damned good I think.
Pic attached of how they were...and how they are nowView attachment 246753View attachment 246755View attachment 246757
Did Phoenix have any problems removing the bolts? I've heard they are susceptible to seizure/snapping so lots of other costly work required like helicoiling. Reason I ask is because I've just (this morning) taken my style 42s in for a makeover. 👍

Gotta ask also, how much did it cost?

Black and white wheel caps and black stickers for the blue sections on front, side and rears. I had swapped the wheel caps from my Z3 to Z4 as they were not great on Z4 when I got it. But as the Z3 is on road to recovery Ive swapped them back in readiness. Thought I woukd try something different and the new wheel caps and stickers were the sum of £1.46 total from Aliexpress. So no harm done if I change my mind, but I'm happy with them.

After a broken front spring a couple of MOT's back I changed the front springs (after loads and loads of research to get a suitable sport spring match) but was never happy with the ride.
This years MOT had a 'misting' front damper so time to replace both dampers as well. I managed to find some Bilstein's with original sport springs (and some other goodies along the way.
Now the weather has picked I have had them fitted along with a good clean up and underseal. everywhere.
After a sunny drive round The Peak's yesterday, I can confirm that the ride and handling is back, so happy days.
In total this month
  1. Front shocks and springs fitted
  2. Full underseal
  3. In readiness for when/if needed - rear wings and outer sills - rear shocks and 2 sets of springs - and a set of Z3M front springs

Finally got the auto gearbox oil and filter changed in my 3.0l. Replaced the rubber trans mounts whilst they were at it.. oh my god what a difference.. the down shifts are so smooooth now .. even when you cane it in sport mode and then cram on the anchors when you remember you have no talent for driving fast 🤣.
