What do you think about the Yank marring into the Royal Family?

Big Royalist me, great to see the World's number one family (outside mine) moving with the times. Puts the UK in the shop window of the World for all the right reasons, hope they and all the well wishers have a great day. Met HMQ twice and she's spoken to me in person one of those times, she's a World legend and is revered around the World. Other views are available ;)

She's a actress , so chances are she's slightly mad and will fit in well. The Family will love her but I wonder how things will go with the courtier's

There's a Royal Wedding on?,
s**t they kept that quiet, who'd have thought :banghead:

I think Harry and Wills are great lads and a credit to their family. They've had to grow up without a mother as well as being in the public eye since they were born.

I really hope their marriages work and it seems they've got a chance as it looks like they've both chosen their partners themselves which is something their parents weren't allowed to do.

I wont watch the wedding but I will send them my very best wishes.

All the best "H" and Meg

ME!!!!!!!! I just use the occasion to get the flags out. Wish em both the very best. Just look at my PATRIOTIC HOUSE and those within. Being ex forces does something for me when it comes to this country and the royals.
Only house in a street of twenty to show it, where have all the patriots gone.

RHA,Roy.

I think I upset a woman in the Christmas shop at Disney Springs when she started going on about it I just said we came over here to get away from that.

Christmas? Christmas! - Where did that come from?

We have to visit there every time we come over here Ian. Shirl buys a tree ornament each time, it's a kind of tradition which started the first time we came here in 1994 with Carla. We will eventually need a 12ft. Christmas tree though.;)

Like it or not, the royals are a massive draw for the UK. Up to 2 billion people watching on tv today. That is nearly 1/3 of the world population.

Many of the major royals and especially the younger ones spend an awful lot of time and energy working for good causes and UK PLC.
It wasn't their choice to be high born. Princes William and Harry should also be congratulated for taking their military work seriously and not hiding from the realities that other service men and women face daily.
I'm sure that Harry would have loved to have had just a family affair but he recognises that he is high profile, not least because of his forced entry in to public life at such and early age because of his mother's tragic death. He knows how to leverage his position to do good. A fine young man.

I think today has been a milestone and turning point for the royals. While much was high pomp and circumstance, there were big changes in tradition too. Don't think the queen looked to happy, but, Prince Charles certainly understood, and, by leading Meghan down the isle, he accepts that changes, integration and acceptance are necessary.

Don't get me started on the many hangers on though....

I know Tony - I can understand the personal meaning to has to you both. Just the word Christmas here in May was somewhat unexpected.

Mate, it's weird walking into that shop from 80 odd deg. into air conditioned coolness to hear Christmas carols playing.:). Back at the villa now and it looks like a storm is brewing. The wet season is a bit early this year.

Nicely put Ian.

I have a lot of time for Harry and Wills. They have both done a lot with wildlife and the damaged forces guys so who cannot like that? They are nice guys with nothing but good intentions. Like Ian says we get no say in what we are born into. Keep up the good work I say!

I have nothing against Harry and his brother and I have nothing but admiration for Harry in particular for what he did in Afghanistan flying in dangerous conditions he would've been a big prize for the Taliban. Hope he has a better marriage than his mother was allowed.
I'm just generally not interested in the Royal family and their outdated traditions and customs. From what I hear HMQ had a face like a bulldog licking p*** off a nettle most of the time she was on camera. Roll on the next generation I say!
